Fertiliser shares edge higher

Shares of six fertiliser shares gained by 0.38% to 1.79% at 11:25 IST on BSE after the Finance Minister said the government will launch new urea policy

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 161.38 points or 0.63% at 25,282.43

Coromandel International (up 0.53%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (up 1.79%), Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers (up 0.69%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (up 0.86%), Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (up 1.11%) and Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation (up 0.38%) gained.

While presenting the final Union Budget for 2014-15 in Lok Sabha today, 10 July 2014, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government will launch new urea policy. The finance minster also said that the government will overhaul the subsidy regime.
