FICCI Inks three MoUs for collaboration in Satellite & Space industry, Food Processing Industry and Manufacturing Sector

A 14-member delegation of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) led by President Mr. Rashesh Shah accompanied by Mr. Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General, FICCI and members of Defence and Space Committee participated in Inspreneur 2.0 and "India-Singapore: Stepping into the Future", business event addressed by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. PM Narendra Modi was in Singapore for an official bilateral visit and to deliver the keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.

During this visit, FICCI signed two MoU's for enhancing India-Singapore engagement that was announced at the business meeting presided over by Prime Minister of India and Mr. S Iswaran, Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations for Singapore, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

FICCI's MoU with Singapore Space & Technology Association (SSTA) aims to enhance interaction between Indian & Singapore industry in Space & Satellite technology, and facilitate the options to develop new sourcing, supply chain, and technology partners between the two countries.

Also, the FICCI Space delegation discussed areas of collaboration with Singapore companies during the 'Singapore - India Space Sector roundtable'.

The MoU between FICCI and Food Industry Asia (FIA) focuses on initiatives which will enhance food trade between India and Singapore and build capacities of Indian food businesses operators and share best practices on important issues such as regulatory changes, food safety, food quality, and nutrition.

In order to strengthen business relations and promote economic co-operation between enterprises in the two countries, FICCI also signed a renewal of the MoU with Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to promote trade, investment, and business between the two countries.
