Net outflow of Rs 479.13 crore on 5 June 2015

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold shares worth a net Rs 479.13 crore during the previous trading session on Friday, 5 June 2015, as against net purchases of Rs 602.51 crore on 4 June 2015.

The net outflow of Rs 479.13 crore on 5 June 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3693.96 crore and gross sales of Rs 4173.09 crore. The entire net outflow of Rs 479.13 crore pertains to secondary equity market transactions. The S&P BSE Sensex had fallen 44.93 points or 0.17% to settle at 26,768.49 on that day, its lowest closing level since 7 May 2015.

FPIs bought shares worth a net Rs 1176.65 crore in June month so far (till 5 June 2015). They purchased shares worth a net Rs 1080.07 crore from the secondary equity markets crore in June month so far (till 5 June 2015). FPIs sold shares worth a net Rs 5768.48 crore in May 2015. They offloaded shares worth a net Rs 9149.27 crore into the secondary equity markets in May 2015.

FPIs have bought shares worth a net Rs 43601.70 crore in calendar year 2015 so far (till 5 June 2015). They have bought shares worth a net Rs 32060.40 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2015 so far (till 5 June 2015). FPIs had bought shares worth a net Rs 97055.90 crore in the calendar year 2014. They had bought shares worth a net Rs 84440.80 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar year 2014.
