Hercules Hoists slips after poor Q3 results

Hercules Hoists lost 2.93% to Rs 107.50 at 14:47 IST on BSE after net profit fell 27.5% to Rs 5.08 crore on 11.7% decline in net sales to Rs 28.86 crore in Q3 December 2013 over Q3 December 2012.

The Q3 result was announced after market hours on Thursday, 6 February 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 2.52 points or 0.01% at 20,308.22.

On BSE, so far 11,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 46,775 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 114 and a low of Rs 107.50 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 138.50 on 19 February 2013. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 75 on 19 August 2013.

The stock had underperformed the market over the past one month till 6 February 2014, sliding 9.03% compared with the Sensex's 2.29% fall. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, jumping 10.97% as against Sensex's 2.8% fall.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 3.20 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.

Hercules Hoists is engaged in the production of chain pulley block, electric hoists, trolleys and cranes.
