Turnover on NSE's F&O segment drops
The Nifty January 2018 futures traded at 10578.20, a premium of 19.35 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10558.85 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment dropped to Rs 3.66 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 10.36 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index advanced 54.05 points or 0.51% to settle at 10,558.85, its record high.
Idea Cellular, Yes Bank, Tata Steel, DLF and United Spirits were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.
Idea Cellular January 2018 futures traded at 115.70, at a premium over spot closing of 115.30. Yes Bank January 2018 futures traded at 333.80, near spot closing of 332.90. Tata Steel January 2018 futures traded at 771.05, at a premium over spot closing of 770.40.
DLF January 2018 futures traded at 260.80, near spot closing of 259.55. United Spirits January 2018 futures traded at 3958.05, at a premium over spot closing of 3951.05.
The January 2018 F&O contracts expire on 25 January 2018.
