ITC slips after Q2 earnings

ITC fell 3.39% to Rs 277.50 at 14:28 IST on BSE after net profit rose 11.93% to Rs 2,954.67 crore on 14.80% increase in total income to Rs 11,776.63 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017.

The result was announced during trading hours today, 26 October 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 288.63 points, or 0.86% to 33,401.46.

On the BSE, 10.02 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.55 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 290.55 and a low of Rs 276.25 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 322.70 on 3 September 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 250.35 on 15 November 2017.

ITC, a multi-business conglomerate, has diversified presence in FMCG, hotels, paperboards and packaging, agri business and information technology.
