Marico leads gainers in 'A' group

Century Textiles & Industries, Future Retail, Aurobindo Pharma and Bajaj Holdings & Investment are among the other gainers

Marico spurted 6.78% to Rs 217.45 and topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group. The stock extended Wednesday's 0.32% gain triggered by reporting good Q4 result during market hours on Wednesday, 30 April 2014. Marico's consolidated profit after tax rose 8% to Rs 89 crore on 17% growth in revenue from operations to Rs 1072 crore in Q4 March 2014 over Q4 March 2013.

Century Textiles & Industries gained 6.1% to Rs 355.55 and was second biggest gainer in 'A' group. Century Textiles & Industries during market hours today, 2 May 2014 said that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the company will be held on 5 May 2014, to consider fund raising proposals along with result for the year ended 31 March 2014.

Future Retail jumped 6.04% to Rs 139.50 and was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Aurobindo Pharma surged 4.73% to Rs 600.65 and was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Bajaj Holdings & Investment rose 4.63% to Rs 1099 and was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. The company announces year ended 31 March 2014 result on 15 May 2014.
