Trading of Nifty 50 index futures on the Singapore stock exchange indicates that the Nifty could fall 16 points at the opening bell.

Overseas, Asian stocks fell amid concern global trade restrictions will curb growth. US stocks fell as Daimler AG's profit warning fed into investor concern over the outlook for global trade and growth.

Back home,key benchmark indices ended with modest losses yesterday, 21 June 2018 as negative global cues spoiled sentiment. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, fell 114.94 points or 0.32% to settle at 35,432.39. The Nifty 50 index fell 30.95 points or 0.29% to settle at 10,741.10.

The trading activity on that day showed that the foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 1126.75 crore yesterday, 21 June 2018, as per provisional data released by the stock exchanges. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth a net Rs 663.57 crore yesterday, 21 June 2018, as per provisional data.
