Modern India net profit rises 33.71% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales decline 84.05% to Rs 17.69 crore

Net profit of Modern India rose 33.71% to Rs 1.19 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 0.89 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales declined 84.05% to Rs 17.69 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 110.89 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net profit declined 17.81% to Rs 4.06 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 4.94 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales declined 67.17% to Rs 144.78 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 440.99 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
