Nalco leads gainers in 'A' group

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals, Tata Communications and Indian Hotels Company are among the other gainers.

State-run National Aluminium Company (Nalco) jumped 7.41% to Rs 56.50. The stock topped the gainers in the BSE's 'A' group.

Gujarat government-owned miner Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) galloped 5.36% to Rs 145.35. The stock was second biggest gainer in 'A' group.

State-run power equipments maker Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) spurted 5.04% to Rs 240.75. The stock was third biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Telecommunications company Tata Communications climbed 4.47% to Rs 376.30. The stock was fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group.

Hotel chain operator Indian Hotels Company rose 3.71% to Rs 96.35. The stock was fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group.
