Nifty May 2013 futures were at 6118.85, near spot closing of 6114.10. Turnover on NSE's futures & options (F&O) segment surged to Rs 164856.02 crore from Rs 132080.27 crore on Monday, 20 May 2013.
State Bank of India (SBI) May 2013 futures were at 2326.70, at a discount compared to spot closing of 2355.60.
United Spirits May 2013 futures were at 2416.90, at a premium over spot closing of 2408.90.
ICICI Bank May 2013 futures were at 1193.90, at a discount compared to spot closing of 1210.20.
In the spot market, the 50-unit CNX Nifty lost 42.80 points or 0.7% to settle at 6,114.10, its lowest closing level since 14 May 2013.
The May 2013 derivatives contracts expire on 30 May 2013.
