Turnover on NSE's F&O segment rises
The Nifty October 2018 futures traded at 11043, a premium of 65.45 points compared with the Nifty's spot closing of 10977.55 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment rose to Rs 18.94 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 12.29 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 76.25 points or 0.69% to settle at 10,977.55.
Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank and Yes Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Reliance Industries October 2018 futures traded at 1260.95, at a premium from spot closing price of 1252.05. HDFC Bank October 2018 futures traded at 1989, at a premium from spot closing price of 1978.10. Yes Bank October 2018 futures traded at 205, at a premium from spot closing price of 203.60.
The October 2018 F&O contracts will expire on 25 October 2018. The September 2018 F&O contracts expire today 27 September 2018.
