Esri India Technologies to set up 'Centre of Excellence' to create new GIS applications
NIIT Technologies announced that its joint venture, Esri India Technologies is setting up a 'Centre of Excellence' to create new GIS applications and launch of 'Start Up' program for providing emerging businesses the tools to build mapping and location analytics capabilities into their products.GIS will be used extensively in key government programs like Digital India, AMRUT, Smart Cities, Swachh Bharat and Clean Ganga and Esri India is looking to play a pivotal role in these programs by offering state-of-the-art GIS solutions. The Company is also supporting capacity building initiative through GIS training facilities across five centres in the country.
