NMDC hits 52-week low after weak Q1 numbers

NMDC dropped 3.5% to Rs 99.40 at 10:00 IST on BSE after net profit fell 47.25% to Rs 1010.12 crore on 42.88% decline in total income to Rs 2295.17 crore in Q1 June 2015 over Q1 June 2014.

The Q1 result was announced after market hours yesterday, 11 August 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 184.06 points or 0.66% at 27,682.03.

On BSE, so far 1.05 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 3.69 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

The stock hit a low of Rs 98.60 so far during the day, which is a 52-week low for the counter. The stock hit a high of Rs 101.35 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 187.55 on 8 September 2014.

The Government of India (GoI) holds 80% stake in NMDC (as per the shareholding pattern as on 30 June 2015).
