PI Industries lost 7.7% to Rs 597.20 at 13:46 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 78.55 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 610 per share at 10:48 IST on BSE today, 11 December 2015.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 212.10 points or 0.84% at 25,040.22
Bulk deal boosted volume on the scrip. On BSE, so far 1.26 crore shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11,879 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 667 and a low of Rs 580 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 440.10 on 17 December 2014. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 785.65 on 13 April 2015.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 10 December 2015, rising 3.23% compared with 1.91% decline in the Sensex. The scrip, however, underperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 3.38% as against Sensex's 1.44% decline.
The mid-cap company has equity capital of Rs 13.71 crore. Face value per share is Re 1.
PI Industries' net profit rose 18.9% to Rs 58.22 crore on 4.5% growth in net sales to Rs 444.11 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
PI Industries focuses on agri-input and custom synthesis.
