Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index registers a drop of 3.63%

Nifty Media index closed down 3.63% at 1889.35 today. The index has added 8.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd fell 7.69%, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd slipped 7.01% and Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd dropped 5.35%. The Nifty Media index has decreased 24.00% over last one year compared to the 13.26% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index has slid 1.24% and Nifty Infrastructure index is down 1.19% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.30% to close at 12037.7 while the SENSEX has declined 0.17% to close at 40821.3 today.
