Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 2.70%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 2.70% at 2449.45 today. The index has slipped 10.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd shed 6.00%, State Bank of India slipped 3.65% and Central Bank of India dropped 3.07%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 25.00% over last one year compared to the 6.36% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index gained 2.25% and Nifty Financial Services index is down 1.86% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 0.89% to close at 10948.3 while the SENSEX has dropped 1.02% to close at 37068.93 today.
