Road Rehabilitation projects approved for Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved the rehabilitation and upgradation of 33.405 km stretch of NH-4 (old NH-223) between Nimbutala and Austin Creek in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.The roadshall be upgraded to two lanes with hard shoulders under EPC mode at a cost of about Rs 193.136 crore. The project involves reconstruction of an existing bridge, widening of two bridges, and repair and strengthening of six bridges.
