Rupee hits a record lower

At 63.77/78 per dollar

Rupee opened weaker on Wednesday (13 November 2013) at 63.77/78 per dollar compared with its previous close of 63.71/72 due to increase in high consumer inflation that quickened more than expected to 10.09% in October on tightening of monetary policy by the central bank.
