Rupee slips

At 60.21/22 per dollar

Rupee closed lower at 60.21/22 per dollar on Monday (05 May 2014), before hitting its one-month high during the session.

The drop is due to heavy dollar demand from oil firms, state banks and cautious trade ahead of the due general elections results next week.
