Two stocks lost 0.12%% to 2.93% at 12:04 IST on BSE on turning ex-dividend today, 31 January 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 9.50 points or 0.05%, at 20,507.75.

NTPC (down 2.93% at Rs 124.35) and Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (down 0.12% to Rs 211.35), edged lower.

However, Shree Cement was up 0.24% to Rs 4,350, up from the day's low of Rs 4,285.95.

NTPC turns ex-dividend today, 31 January 2014, for interim dividend of Rs 4 per share for the year ending 31 March 2014. Before turning ex-dividend, the stock offered a dividend yield of 3.12% based on the closing price of Rs 128.10 on Thursday, 30 January 2014.

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation turns ex-dividend today, 31 January 2014, for interim dividend of Rs 3 per share for the year ending 31 March 2014. Before turning ex-dividend, the stock offered a dividend yield of 1.42% based on the closing price of Rs 211.60 on Thursday, 30 January 2014.

Shree Cement turns ex-dividend today, 31 January 2014, for interim dividend of Rs 10 per share for the year ending 30 June 2014. Before turning ex-dividend, the stock offered a dividend yield of 0.23% based on the closing price of Rs 4339.55 on Thursday, 30 January 2014.
