The S&P BSE Small-Cap index fell 1.27% and the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index fell 1.89% at 15:23 IST, underperforming the Sensex.

Both these indices underperformed the barometer index, S&P BSE Sensex, which fell 331.37 points or 1.22% to 26,857.01. Increase in global bond yields and forecast of deficient rains this year from the India Meteorological Department hit sentiment adversely on the domestic bourses.
