TD Power Systems spurts after fund buying

TD Power Systems advanced 6.64% to Rs 319.80 at 15:25 IST on BSE after Reliance Mutual Fund bought shares of the company in a bulk deal on BSE yesterday, 17 December 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 246.33 points or 0.95% at 25,557.45

On BSE, so far 64,000 shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 23,454 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 325.50 and a low of Rs 301 so far during the day. The stock hit a record high of Rs 478.80 on 30 December 2014. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 235 on 9 November 2015.

The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 17 December 2015, rising 9.49% compared with Sensex's 0.23% fall. The stock had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, falling 0.5% as against Sensex's 0.62% fall.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 33.24 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

Reliance Mutual Fund bought 2.97 lakhs shares of TD Power Systems at Rs 275 per share in a bulk deal on BSE yesterday, 17 December 2015.

Reliance Capital Trustee Co under Reliance Equity Linked Saving Fund-Series-I already owned 1.33% stake in TD Power Systems (as per the shareholding pattern as on 30 September 2015).

On a consolidated basis, TD Power Systems net profit fell 86% to Rs 1.12 crore on 0.4% rise in total income to Rs 181.01 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014.
