Nifty December futures trade at premium
The Nifty December 2017 futures traded at 10472.15, a premium of 8.95 points over Nifty's spot closing of 10463.20 in the cash market.
Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment declined to Rs 5.47 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 10 lakh crore registered in the previous session.
In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index rose 74.45 points or 0.72% to settle at 10,463.20, its record closing high.
Maruti Suzuki India, Tata Global Beverages, Tata Motors, Titan Company and Mahindra & Mahindra were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. Maruti Suzuki India December 2017 futures traded at 9863, at a premium over spot closing of 9846. Tata Global Beverages December 2017 futures traded at 301.60, at a premium over spot closing of 300.70. Tata Motors December 2017 futures traded at 420.60, at a premium over spot closing of 420.55.
Titan Company December 2017 futures traded at 870.45, at a discount over spot closing of 871. Mahindra & Mahindra December 2017 futures traded at 1549, at a discount over spot closing of 1550.40.
The December 2017 F&O contracts expire on 28 December 2017.
