Nifty February futures trade at discount

The Nifty February 2018 futures traded at 10375.50, at a discount of 2.90 points from spot closing of 10378.40 in the cash market.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange's futures & options (F&O) segment increased to Rs 8.68 lakh crore, compared with the turnover of Rs 6.87 lakh crore registered in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index fell 73.90 points or 0.71% to settle at 10,378.40, its lowest closing level since 15 December 2017.

State Bank of India, Tata Steel, Punjab National Bank, Infosys and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE. State Bank of India February 2018 futures traded at 268.50, at a discount compared with spot closing of 269.60. Tata Steel February 2018 futures traded at 649.45, at a premium compared with spot closing of 649.

Punjab National Bank February 2018 futures traded at 115.50, at a premium compared with spot closing of 115.10. Infosys February 2018 futures traded at 1134, at a discount compared with spot closing of 1134.20. ICICI Bank February 2018 futures traded at 321.15, at a premium compared with spot closing of 320.20.

The February 2018 F&O contracts expire on Thursday, 22 February 2018.
