TV Today gallops 48.7% in nine sessions

TV Today Network surged 9.33% to Rs 392.55 at 10:02 IST on BSE, with the stock extending its recent strong rally.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 233.81 points or 0.73% at 31,688.63. The S&P BSE Small-Cap index fell 412.10 points or 2.53% at 15,880.93.

On the BSE, 1.65 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 29,252 shares in the past one quarter. The stock had hit a high of Rs 415.05 so far during the day, which is a record high. The stock hit a low of Rs 361 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 211 on 10 August 2017.

The small-cap company has equity capital of Rs 29.83 crore. Face value per share is Rs 5.

Shares of TV Today Network have rallied 48.72% in nine trading sessions to its ruling market price, from its closing of Rs 263.95 on 12 September 2017.

TV Today Network's net profit fell 13.4% to Rs 19.39 crore on 10.3% growth in net sales to Rs 151.07 crore in Q1 June 2017 over Q1 June 2016.

TV Today Network is engaged in news broadcasting operations. The company is a part of India Today group and operates a network of TV news channels.
