Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 68.33 points, or 0.21% to 33,215.46.United Spirits surged 17.78% at Rs 3,033.10. The stock topped the gainers in 'A' group. On the BSE, 4.07 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 24,000 shares in the past two weeks.
The stock surged after net profit rose 85.6% to Rs 153.10 crore on 3.7% decline in net sales to Rs 1951.30 crore in Q2 September 2017 over Q2 September 2016. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 26 October 2017.
United Breweries spurted 7.27% at Rs 1,008.80. The stock was the second biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 1.62 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 46,000 shares in the past two weeks.
Future Consumer jumped 7.14% at Rs 60.80. The stock was the third biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 23.97 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 10.13 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
Ipca Laboratories climbed 6.62% at Rs 537. The stock was the fourth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 54,000 shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 14,000 shares in the past two weeks.
Jain Irrigation Systems rose 6.28% at Rs 100.75. The stock was the fifth biggest gainer in 'A' group. On the BSE, 13.76 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against the average daily volumes of 4.56 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
