Ipca Laboratories clocked volume of 3.75 lakh shares by 13:40 IST on BSE, a 41.79-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 9,000 shares. The stock tumbled 10.81% at Rs 746.50 after the company announced voluntary stoppage of shipments to the US market from the active pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing facility at Madhya Pradesh. The company made the announcement during trading hours today, 24 July 2014.
VA Tech Wabag notched up volume of 1.20 lakh shares, a 32.25-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock lost 0.83% at Rs 1,510.
Sanofi India saw volume of 70,000 shares, a 17.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 4,000 shares. The stock rose 1.96% at Rs 2,997 after net profit rose 12.3% to Rs 57.50 crore on 18.7% growth in net sales to Rs 486.70 crore in Q2 June 2014 over Q2 June 2013. The Q2 result was announced after market hours on Wednesday, 23 July 2014.
GAIL (India) clocked volume of 5.43 lakh shares, a 7.95-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 68,000 shares. The stock lost 1.85% at Rs 430.30.
Atul saw volume of 2.55 lakh shares, a 6.72-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 38,000 shares. The stock jumped 6.97% at Rs 1,300, with the stock extending Wednesday's 12.58% rally triggered by the company reporting strong Q1 earnings.
