Wheat procurement by government agencies during current Rabi marketing season has crossed the last year mark. As on 13 July, 2015, a total 280.87 lakh tonnes of wheat has been procured in various wheat growing states, while during last season, on the day, it was 271.66 lakh tonnes on the day. Infact procurement so far has crossed the total procurement of last Rabi reason, which was 280.23 lakh tonnes.State wise procurement as on 13 July, 2015 is as follows:
Punjab: 103,43,731 tonnes
Haryana: 67,77,859 tonnes
U.P: 22,67,111 tonnes
M.P: 73,09,167 tonnes
Rajasthan: 13,00,017 tonnes
Uttarakhand: 4,085 tonnes
Chandigarh: 10,864 tonnes
Delhi: 1,787 tonnes
Gujarat: 73,135 tonnes
