At least 10 BSF troopers were killed when a chartered plane crashed a few minutes after take-off from the IGI airport here on Tuesday morning, officials said.
"All 10 Border Security Force troopers have been killed," fire officials said.
The incident took place at Shahabad village in Dwarka area of the national capital where the Beechcraft Super King plane collided into a house and caught fire.
Twenty fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
"The tragic news of the BSF plane crash near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi is extremely painful. Rushing to the crash site immediately," Home Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted.
