At least 10 people were killed and 38 others injured on Friday in two different road accidents in West Bengal's Purulia and Jalpaiguri districts, police said.
In Purulia, six people died and 4 others suffered serious injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a stationary SUV on national highway 34.
The victims were all members of a marriage party, said a police officer.
In Jalpaiguri's Dhupguri, four people were killed and at least 34 others were hospitalised with serious injuries when a bus coming from Assam collided with a truck.
The injured have been admitted to the Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital.
