At least 11 people, including four women, were killed and 21 others hurt when a private bus in which they were travelling fell into a gorge in Mizoram, police said on Sunday.
The bus was on its way from Lawngtlai in southern Mizoram to Aizawl when it met with the accident near Ramlaitui village on Saturday night.
A police official said the bus fell plunged the gorge while its driver tried to avoid a head-on collision with a speeding truck.
Of the four women killed, two were pregnant. The driver of the bus too was killed, the official added.
