A total of 15 candidates filed their nomination papers on Monday for the by-election to the post of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation mayor.
The by-poll on February 7 was necessitated due to the death of mayor Teluram Kamboj in August 2015.
Samajwadi Party candidate Sudhan Rawat, Bharatiya Janta party nominee Ashu Verma and Congress candidate Lalman Singh were among those who submitted their papers to returning officer Ghanshyam Singh on the last day of filing of nominations.
