Two Indian nationals have been arrested in Nepal for possessing a large cache of banned drugs, the police said.

Sabir Ali, 19, and Karan Sahani, 55, of Bihar were arrested along with the controlled pharmaceutical drugs on Thursday night from Thankot village in Nepal during a security check of their car with Indian registration, the Himalayan Times reported on Friday.

A large quantity of diazepam, phenergan and nurofen among other drugs were recovered from a bag found in their car, according to the police.

An investigation has been initiated into the case.
