OnePlus sold 30,000 Loop VR headsets in five seconds on Amazon's app-only flash sale on Tuesday, ahead of the launch of OnePlus 3 smartphone via (virtual reality) VR this summer.
The company claimed that it also received close to a million registrations for the Loop VR headset.
Loop VR headsets were available on the Amazon Loop VR page on June 3 and June 7.
"We are naturally elated at the response from the OnePlus community to obtain the Loop VR headsets to view the OnePlus 3 launch," Vikas Agarwal, General Manager of OnePlus India, said in a statement.
OnePlus has partnered with AntVR to make the Loop VR headsets which is upgraded from last year's cardboard version.
The OnePlus 3 launch this year will also be the world's first global shopping experience in Virtual Reality. Open sales for the OnePlus 3 will begin on Amazon.in on June 15 at 12:30 a.m.
