3M lauches 55-inch multi-touch displays

Technology company 3M India on Thursday launched a range of interactive 55 inch multi-touch displays for a wide variety of large format display applications.

"The 3M-55 inch touch display employs unique technology using toughened glass as a touch sensor which enables enhanced aesthetics like full flat front surface designs," said 3M Electronics and Energy Business Group Country Business Leader R. Vijay Kumar in a statement.

The new product allows 60 simultaneous touches for natural unhindered multi-user experience, for application like interactive digital signage, assisted selling and command and control operations.

"A 10 millisecond response time further enhances the user experience, providing a more responsive experience as compared to some infrared and optical based touch displays," said Kumar.

3M also offers single-touch and multi-touch display for a variety of uses like casino gaming, food service, hospitality, interactive digital signage, self-service kiosks and command and control stations among others.
