Four persons, including three of a family, died when a motorcycle flew off a bridge and fell on to a pile of construction pipes in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district on Wednesday morning, police said.
Mitthoo Athiya, resident of Machindari Samera village, and his wife Uma with son Golu and a relative were riding on the motorcycle from Chhattarpur, when the bike, being driven at a high speed, swerved out of control.
"The bike went off the road due to the high speed, crashed into the bridge parapet and fell on a pile of construction pipes lying below," Batiyagarh police station in-charge Chandrakant Patel told IANS.
All four died on the spot. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem, Patel said.
