Four people were arrested here with 10 quintal of explosives and 132 detonators, the police said on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police searched a truck near Kheda village in Sagar district on Saturday night and found 10 quintal of explosives and 132 detonators in it, Superintendent of Police Sachin Atulkar told IANS.
He said the police arrested four people who claimed that the explosives and detonators were meant for mining work.
The police were investigating the matter, a chilly reminder of the illegal trade in and use of explosives.
On September 12, last year, over 100 people were killed in Jhabua district of the state in a blast in a building where gelatine sticks were stored illegally.
