At least 51 militants have been killed in past 24 hours in military operations in eleven provinces of Afghanistan, the interior ministry said on Saturday.
The operations were jointly conducted by army and personnel from the National Directorate of Security in Takhar, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul, Jowzjan, Kandahar, Oruzgan, Khost, Paktika, Herat, Ghor and Helmand provinces in past 24 hours, Khaama press reported.
Fifty-one militants were killed, 24 injured and 10 others were arrested by the security forces, the statement added.
The forces have been conducting several military operations against Taliban and other militant groups in the country.
