At least eight civilians were killed on Saturday when the US-led international coalition bombarded the northeastern Syrian city of Al-Mayadin, held by the Islamic State terror group, according to a war monitoring group.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that the airstrikes struck several houses near a school, Efe news reported.
Among the fatalities were six minors and two women, although the UK-based watchdog said the figure could rise because several people had sustained serious injuries and others were still under the rubble.
Since May 22, the SOHR has documented the deaths of 244 civilians in bombings allegedly carried out by the coalition in Al-Mayadin.
