As many as 808 candidates have filed their nominations for the Oct 15 Haryana assembly elections with over 500 submitting their papers on the penultimate day Friday, an election official said.
Chief electoral officer Shrikant Walgad said that 513 candidates filed their nominations Friday.
All 90 assembly seats in Haryana go to polls Oct 15.
Walgad said that 174 independent candidates had filed their nomination papers so far.
Partywise, the breakup is: Indian National Lok Dal 81, Congress 74, Bharatiya Janata Party 62, Bahujan Samaj Party 34, Haryana Janhit Congress 27 and candidates of other parties have filed their nominations, Walgad said.
Saturday (Sep 27) is the last date of filing of nominations.
