Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will visit Wardha in Maharashtra's Vidarbha region and address a public rally there Friday morning, a party announcement said Wednesday.
Gandhi's trip comes a week after Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi addressed a rally in the district March 20, where he unveiled his new formulae to help the country's farmers.
From Wardha, Gandhi will travel to the Maoist-affected Gadchiroli in the region and address an election rally there.
That afternoon, he will leave for Satna district in adjoining Madhya Pradesh for another public meeting there.
