Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members, including TV artist Raghu Raman, were allegedly attacked by some unidentified assailants here Friday, police said.
The incident happened at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus when the AAP supporters were taking out a motorbike rally, ahead of Arvind Kejriwal's road show in the city.
AAP supporter and the party's Chandigarh candidate Gul Panag tweeted later that she was fine and nothing untoward had happened.
MTV host Raghu Raman said a handful of youths attacked them, but were chased away by BHU students.
Late Thursday, a procession of the AAP was attacked and stones pelted at it.
In the melee, Prerna, who is media in-charge of the AAP in Varanasi, was hit on her forehead.
A case has been registered in the Lanka Kotwali.
BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is pitted against AAP's Arvind Kejriwal at Varanasi that votes May 12.
