The Supreme Court on Monday directed the government to absorb Rajeshwar Dayal as deputy director in the Enforcement Directorate within three days following a CAT order.
Dayal is the main investigator in ED probing Aircel-Maxis deal.
The apex court bench headed by Chief Justice designate Justice H.L. Dattu directed the absorption of Dayal on his petition seeking enforcement of the CAT order on which the government was dilly-dallying.
Dayal alongwith another four officers came to ED in 2007. Upon completion of deputation, four were repatriated to their parent department but Dayal sought his absorption in ED.
