Telugu actor Bharat, younger brother of Ravi Teja, was arrested here Monday night for excessive drinking and misbehaving with police officers who tried to control him, police said Tuesday.
He will be presented in Miyapur court Tuesday afternoon.
"He was drunk when he was returning from a party last night near Madhapur. When we stopped him for a routine check and requested him to not drive in this condition, he lost his cool and misbehaved with a few police officers on duty," Inspector K. Narsimulu of Madhapur police station, told IANS.
"We have booked him for drunk driving and also for causing nuisance in public. He will be presented in Miyapur court this afternoon," he added.
This is not the first time Bharat has been arrested. In the past, he was busted for possession of drugs.
Bharat, who usually play small character roles, has featured in films such as "Dhee" and "Ready".
