At least three persons were killed and 55 injured after a bomb went off during Friday prayers in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, officials said.
"An improvised explosive device planted inside a mosque in Rodat district went off at around 1.30 p.m, killing three and injuring 55 others," Xinhua news agency quoted an official as saying.
Several hundreds of worshippers were attending the Friday prayers when the incident took place, the official said.
"The number of casualties may go up as many of the wounded were in critical condition," the official added.
