Over 50 doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here, including the premier institute's director M.C. Misra, on Tuesday performed Yoga to mark the second International Yoga Day.
The Yoga event was held from 7-8 a.m. in the hospital premises.
"Yoga is a way of life and it should be part of every one's life. Yoga keeps several health complications away if done regularly with dedication," said Misra on the occasion.
The participants also included many non-medical staff of AIIMS.
To endorse Yoga in the medical sciences, Health Minister J.P. Nadda will on Wednesday inaugurate a new centre focused on the scientific evidence of the therapeutic benefits of Yoga.
The centre is coming up in the Convergence Block of AIIMS.
