Air India offers special fares for students

New offer provides special fares to students in range of Rs 3,500-5,500 for domestic travel

National passenger carrier Air India on Wednesday announced a special fares offer for students, who travel at this time of the year to join schools, colleges or appear for entrance exams.

According to the airline, the new offer provides special fares to students in the range of Rs 3,500-Rs 5,500 for domestic travel.

"Students travelling for various academic reasons like proceeding to join their school, college or to give entrance exam would be able to benefit from this special offer," the airline said in a statement.

Under the new offer, students after providing required documents would be able to avail tickets at Rs 3,500 (all inclusive) for distance of up to 1,000 km and at Rs 5,500 (all inclusive) for distance over 1,000 km.

"The booking period for this offer starts from June 1, 2016 and tickets can be booked till August 31, 2016 for travel between July 1, 2016 and August 31, 2016," the statement said.

"To avail these special fares, students are required to provide photo copy of the following documents while booking; admit card, examination hall ticket, admission slip, photo Id of the institution."
