Algerian troops killed three militants in the province of Boumerdes, 55 km east of capital Algiers, Saturday, media reported.
The army had besieged a terrorist group for three days in the locality of Sahel Boubrak, east of Boumerdes, and killed three of the terrorists Saturday, according to reports by the local media, which were cited by Xinhua.
The government said that a few militants affiliated to the Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) had taken refuge in the woods in the provinces of Boumerdes, Bouira and Tizi Ouzou.
