Allahabad HC seeks report on Bulandshahr gang rape

The Allahabad High Court on Monday sought a report from the Bulandshahr SSP on the gang rape of a woman and her minor daughter last month and asked the state government on why a Central Bureau of Investigation probe should not be ordered into the incident.

The court has sought to know the details of the police investigations so far.

Taking suo moto cognisance of the case, the bench of Chief Justice D.B. Bhonsle and Justice Yashwant Verma fixed August 10 as the next date of hearing.

A woman and her minor daughter were raped on NH-91 in Bulandshahr late night on July 29 by some criminals after robbing the family.
